I'm Feeling Phthisicky
I made the mistake of leaving my room and actually going outside, and now Google is down.
Google is down! The whole damn internet is broken!
This may be punishment for the vehement abuse directed at Blogger outages, the warnings that Google is growing too powerful, the complaints of bias in their News aggregator -- I was going to link to examples of each of these complaints, but I can't find any because GOOGLE IS DOWN.
This ought to teach us all a lesson. What would a World Without Google be like?
Please, Google! Come back! We didn't mean it! I need to find a funny picture of Jimmy Stewart to illustrate my post!
Oh... wait a second... Google's back.

- It would be harder to mock the lazy research skills of journalists ("what, you couldn't have gone to a library? It only took me two-and-a-half hours on my lunch break to find the 1900 census data from Cheyenne and chart the relative wealth of minority neighborhoods over the next half-century!")
- Fewer funny referral posts (like the hit I got earlier today from an English gentlemen looking for "unteathered breasts")
- Fewer funny neologisms like "googlewhack" or "googlemilk" or "googlethrust" or "googleviolate" or "googleweepsilently" (quick, define the last three -- you can't! No Google!)
- The Building and Loan's been replaced by a dance hall! With jitterbugging! Violet's a whore! Uncle Billy's crazy! The money's not
here! Your money's in Joe's house! And in the Kennedy house, and Mrs. Macklin's house, and a hundred others! - Did I mention the complete crippling breakdown of the internet itself?
Please, Google! Come back! We didn't mean it! I need to find a funny picture of Jimmy Stewart to illustrate my post!
Oh... wait a second... Google's back.
